Sovereign

The Sovereign is a 45 storey mixed-use tower, located on the northeast corner of Willingdon and Kingsway, making it Burnaby’s tallest tower. The project features 100,000 square feet of commercial space including retail and restaurants, 169 rooms of the “Elements” hotel, and 202 market condominiums. The Sovereign is located near shopping centers including Metropolis at Metrotown, and close proximity to public transportation SkyTrain stations. This project has several unique features to the mechanical systems. The lower retail/commercial floors and hotel floors (levels 1-18) have vertical water source heat pumps for room conditioning. The upper condominium floors (levels 20-45), use four pipe fan coils. The 19th floor is an interstitial floor which houses the heat recovery and cooling plant mechanical systems.

Cineplex Theatre

This 26,000 square foot entertainment complex features seven auditoriums and 1,300 stadium seats. The comfort and safety of audience members is the primary concern in this modern entertainment complex. An integrated team approach, internally and with other trades on the project, resulted in a successful project that was completed on time and on budget.

Hard Rock Casino Vancouver

Modern casinos include traditional gaming floors and live show rooms, numerous food service facilities and large parking structures. The biggest challenge is to optimize ventilating systems so they produce high-quality fresh air in an energy-efficient manner.
An integrated approach, internally and with other trades on the project resulted in a successful project that was completed on time and on budget. The casino opened in the spring of 2011 to waiting crowds.

Safeway

In 2008, Safeway rebuilt its flagship store on Robson Street and Denman Street in Vancouver, British Columbia. The facility is 43,055 square feet and features 22 isles, 13 checkout stands, automatic check-out counters, and includes a Starbucks coffee shop, sushi and sandwich bars, and a pharmacy.

750 Burrard

750 Burrard Street (also known as 969 Robson Street, or “Robson Central”) is a building in Downtown Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, at the northeast corner of Robson Street and Burrard Street. The site was originally home to the main branch of the Vancouver Public Library from 1957 to 1995. Since 1995 the building has also housed Virgin, HMV, and Planet Hollywood, TV stations and numerous radio stations. Current occupants of the building include Bell Media, the Globe, Clearly Contacts, and a flagship Victoria’s Secret store.
In 2012, PML was apart of the major renovation to the base building as well as multiple tenant improvements. Mechanical services including plumbing, HVAC, and Sprinklers were provided for all work.

Cineplex – Marine Gateway

The Cineplex at Marine Gateway features many amenities and multiple types of theatres. Including 1 DBOX Screen, 3 VIP Screens, 7 (3D) Screens, 1 UltraAVX Screen, 11 Screens, 1 Party Room. Additionally, the space features a full restaurant and lounge in the VIP 19+ area.
