We are currently recruiting for a Plumbing/Mechanical/Boiler Service Technician.
Payrate for a Service Journeyman is $51.01
Qualifications:
- Troubleshooting and repair heating systems (pressure and temperature issues), high-rise domestic water systems, and domestic water boiler experience
- Cross connections (backflow) ticket preferred
- Knowledge of how to drain and pre-charge expansion tanks
- Knowledge of boilers
- Troubleshooting and repairing circ pumps for domestic water and closed loop systems (changing couplers, sealed bearing assemblies and amping pumps)
- High-rise water and heating systems and how to set them up
- Troubleshooting and repairing 3” and 4” Pressure Reducing Valves in high-rise buildings
- Diagnosing cross connections for both hot and cold systems
- Basic electrical knowledge / troubleshooting skills
- Troubleshooting of sump pumps experiencing issues. Set up float levels.
- Replacing and troubleshooting of commercial storage tanks
- Knowledge of steam systems
- Quoting labor and material for all types of repairs
- 4 plus years experience as a Red Seal Service Technician
- Clean Valid Class 5 driver’s license
- Hardworking/Reliable
- Boiler, high-rise building, electrical or controls experience preferred
- Clean and tidy appearance
- Good written and communication skills.
- Backflow ticket with knowledge on testing and repairing backflows
- Backflow Ticket (required)
- Class B Gas ticket (preferred)
- Red seal ticket (preferred)
