Reporting to the Service Sales Manager, the Service Sales Representative role is focused on acquiring New Service Contracts through building a Network of Property Managers and Owners. The successful incumbent will be accountable for all outbound sales activities between PML and its commercial, industrial and institutional clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Proactively target and establish relationships with new customers and trades to meet sales objectives, and position the company as the sole provider of choice for their plumbing, mechanical and HVAC services.
  • Competitively quote on Maintenance agreements understanding the new customer needs and competitive positioning.
  • Build an active Pipeline of potential Clients that will lead to New Contracts.
  • Identify and respond to competitive threats through proactive assessment of needs, review of competitive options, and understanding of the company position and differentiation.
  • Utilize and direct company and outside resources to meet sales objectives and enhance customer expectations.
  • Establish working relationships regarding customer issues or sales strategy across company internal functions, such as marketing, technical support and operations.
  • Provide feedback to management regarding market trends, competition, profitable revenue opportunities and customer issues.
  • Drive winning new business attraction plans to successful closure to meet company sales objectives.
  • Update and report in-progress deal opportunities, sales forecasts and budgets.


  • Minimum of 3-5 years sales experience in the Mechanical industry
  • Post-secondary education in business or related field
  • Ability to work independently with a focus of being in market two to three days per week
  • Proficiency using Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
  • Attention to detail, problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Organizational skills and ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines and handle multiple tasks within a fast-paced work environment
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
  • Experience with Jonas Construction Management Software is an asset
